Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
